A surprise destination not far from Atlanta was
Stone Mountian.
We did not know what to expect
and were surprised to find an
amusement area, which included
a train ride, 4D movie, tram to
the mountain top, and lots of
fun entertainment.  These guys,
Stonewall Jackson, Robert E.
Lee and Jefferson Davis, were
carved on the side of the
mountain and at dusk a free
laser show like none we have
ever seen.
An arial tram took us up to
the top of the mountain.
You talk about your mountain
top expeirences!
You could see for miles.
We could even see the
people on the lawn
claiming their spot for the
laser show.  Fortunately
for us it was not very
crowded the day we were
there so we did not have
any problem finding a
good spot.  However, we
were not prepared for
sitting on the damp
ground, so we returned to
our hotel with wet
bottoms.  It was a good
thing the show was over
after dark, so nobody
noticed (we hope).
